Okay ladies and gents, it's time to be critical. Earlier I posted my "fairy in a bottle" keychain, now you will see my "heart piece" earrings.
You remember the material you used to create the world's
greatest VOLCANO at the age of only 6 years old? It's time for a
flash-back.... This weekend, Andy and I decided to sit down and make some salt-dough. Not only was this a wonderful bonding experience for the FH (Future Husband) and I, but it allowed us a nostalgic release from stress. First, we obtained a salt-dough recipe:
Salt-Dough Recipe Link! Then, we sat down and carved out shapes using household tools. (Never underestimate the power of the chop-stick!)

Andy is seen here carving out his very own Triforce! |

Our unbaked pieces sit here to dry. |
We baked our little "gems" for 3 hours on 250° F, and then let them sit for a day in the open air. I wasn't so sure they would turn out well, but once I painted the heart pieces, I knew we were onto something.

Wisdom, power, and courage combined into the Triforce! |

It's the Ocarina of time in necklace and earring form. |

Two heart pieces and one heart container. Perfect for a necklace and earring combination. |

A health potion just in case you are running low. |

One of my painted earrings sits in the left hand corner. I'm trying to make it resemble the "heart-piece" in the right hand corner. How did I do?
